Our Community Visioning workshop process was collaboratively made by Native American Community Development Institute and Emily Johnson/Catalyst during the making of SHORE: Minneapolis. We wanted to create a form for the ideas sparked by the questions: What do you want for your well being? Your family and friends? Your neighborhood? Your city, town or reserve?

SHORE Community Visioning Session  inspires collective responsibility in imagining and creating the future, individual and community agency, and the ability for imagination to become action, thus manifesting true change. Through games and discourse we brainstorm and expand upon hundreds of ideas, providing ourselves with a map to the future we want.

Emily has led Community Visioning Workshops in Minneapolis and Richfield, MN, Vancouver, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Tucson, Homer, AK and Williamstown, MA.
